A design agent that turns one brief into a full asset set — but it ships proposals, not finished art

Lovart is an AI design agent from LiblibAI; lovart.art is the Chinese edition, lovart.ai the overseas one. It breaks a brief into a chain: analyze intent, scout references, lock a style, generate directions on an infinite canvas with layers and text editable independently, then export the set.

Getting Started (based on community-tested notes, not first-person)

Note: compiled from official docs and community testing, rewritten and condensed by editors — not a claim that we tested each point ourselves.

  1. Sign up: WeChat QR login works, new accounts get free credits. Run one poster end to end before picking a tier.
  2. Write the brief: in ChatCanvas the canvas sits center, chat panel right. Name category, use case, dimensions, palette, and whether text appears — specifics save credits.
  3. Pick and refine: browse variants in Tab mode, switch to Tune for text, color, and placement, or circle a region to inpaint; attach a Brand Kit to output a full set in one pass.
  4. Export: PNG / JPG / SVG / MP4; brand cases also export layered PSD for Photoshop.

Real Pain (community consensus)

Note: recurring pain points reported across the community, condensed by editors, not individually verified by us.

  • Credits burn fast: the default model is expensive (Nano Banana Pro about 10 credits per call, a cheap one about 2). Skip the model preference and free allowance vanishes fast.
  • Slow: twenty to thirty minutes for a full brand VI is normal; complex briefs spend ten-plus minutes on analysis.
  • Chinese text still breaks: occasional garbling and loose typesetting, so final assets need a manual pass.
  • Complex compositions resist edits: Touch Edit handles simple elements but misfires once layouts get busy — one user swapped a coffee bean and got three plus a croissant.
  • No refunds: memberships and credits are non-refundable and non-transferable. Credits don't roll over, and top-ups listed as valid 180 days are sometimes reclaimed at renewal【to be verified】.

Hard Comparison (one-line verdicts)

  • Midjourney: strongest on single-image aesthetics, but only images — no layout, text, or asset sets. Pick Lovart for a system, MJ for one picture.
  • Xingliu (xingliu.art): same LiblibAI family, steadier Chinese and guofeng styling, faster; Lovart reaches further on brand pipelines and overseas models.
  • Canva: zero-friction templates and easy text edits, but it never originates a concept — the template sets the ceiling.
  • Design outsourcing: a set in tens of minutes at a fraction of the cost, yet it trails on refinement.

Who It's For / Not For

  • For: startup brand launches, creators batching social visuals, e-commerce campaign assets, pitch exploration.
  • Not for: print-grade typesetting, strict Chinese typography, or anyone expecting it to replace a designer.

Editor's Take (our site's view)

Note: our judgment from a design-practitioner / enterprise-delivery angle — the angle that sets us apart from repost-only review sites.

What makes Lovart worth paying for isn't image generation, it's holding a set together — logo, packaging, social, and video sharing one visual language on one canvas. The boundary still matters: it produces an 80-point proposal, not a deliverable — Chinese typesetting, complex compositions, and print specs get finished in Photoshop and Illustrator. Pricing favors the Chinese edition — ¥399 for year one with 1,000 monthly credits, roughly 333 images. Two catches: renewal jumps to ¥469, and Pro goes from ¥1,799 to ¥3,199 after year one. Start one tier lower than you think.
