Among our clients, whenever "data stays in-house" is a hard requirement, Tabnine is almost the only AI coding assistant worth a serious conversation — Copilot and Cursor aren't as clean on air-gapped private deployment. But if you want "smartest completions," it's genuinely not tier-one, and reviews agree. Our advice: compliance-first teams start at Code Assistant, agent automation needs Agentic Platform; solo devs stay away and use Codeium's free tier. Pitfall: annual-only, per seat — count heads before you quote, don't price it like a personal tool.
